An award-winning year end for THOR Mexico

As with all THOR sites around the world, our colleagues at THOR Mexico aim to bring out the best, not just in each other, but in our partners and customers too.

For 20 years, THOR Mexico has been responsible for the addressing customer needs in the Colombian market. More recently, they partnered with Colombian distributor Handler in 2018, in order to gain a better position within the market and share our biocide products with more manufacturers in the region.

It has proven to be a successful partnership, as THOR Mexico and Handler recently received Paint & Pintura Magazine's biocide category award in Colombia! The award was made possible by our colleagues and partners’ perseverance and consistency in high-quality customer service across our sales, technical service and supply chain teams.

Internally, THOR Mexico has been working hard to ensure positive health and safety practices are carried out at all times. The site recently obtained the ‘No Gap’ certification, affirming their commitment to promoting good labour practices, creating opportunities for gender equality, and building a workplace environment free from violence, discrimination, harassment, and bullying. With this accreditation, THOR Mexico become one of 113 sites recognised by the State Centre for Employability of Queretaro for efforts in transforming and setting better standards in the labour sector.

The Human Rights Defence of Queretaro have also recognised THOR Mexico’s efforts with a ‘Company Committed to Human Rights’ accreditation, reaffirming the site’s commitment to reinforcing human rights within the workplace and developing improvement projects for better working conditions.
